Another review of Alan Wake score

Catherine Spencer (of gamepeople.co.uk) melted my heart, literally: “A Winter’s Dream sets us up for forthcoming disasters and sets out Alanko’s stall – a sweeping epic backdrop to play against. Although never becoming choral, these recreate similar emotion to Howard Shore’s Lord of the Rings soundtrack.” She manages to mention both Howard Shore and Petri Alanko in a same sentence – which is about as close to heaven as one can imagine, sort of.

Mr. Shore made about 10 million people cry in a nanosecond with the first notes of his Lord Of The Rings masterpiece soundtrack score, so – hell, if that’s not a good comparison, I don’t know what is. 😀
